Joe Budden Explains Recent Arrest, Says It Was Over An Unpaid Parking Ticket

Slaughterhouse member Joe Budden was arrested in New York City on Thursday (March 29) on an outstanding warrant, which forced his group to perform that evening without him.
It made headlines across the board, and since then, it's been revealed that the warrant came from an unpaid parking ticket dating back to 2007. So, when authorities heard about the rapper's performance at the Best Buy Theater, they decided to show up and take him into custody.
Budden was located by police, and subsequently arrested, and booked him at a nearby police station. After the news broke, his camp revealed that he was processed, and has since been released from jail, but insisted that he "handled the matter."
FUSE.tv caught up with the Shady Records supergroup just days after the arrest, and Joe explained the situation, saying he was unaware of the unpaid ticket or he would've taken care of it long ago.
"I'm always in New York. Bottom line, if I would've known about the situation, it would've been cleared up," Joe said.
"I'm pretty cut and dry about," he continued, explaining how the warrant arose. "It was an unpaid ticket, bench warrant; and when there's a bench warrant, they catch you when they can catch you. And it just so happens we had a sold out show at Best Buy Theater, and that's where the decided to catch me... I always perform in New York.
"It had never popped up before and I had gone through the system a few times."
So for now, Joe's legal issues are cleared up, and Slaughterhouse's tour should continue without any problems.
The group's Shady Records debut, Welcome to: Our House, is due out May 15th. VisitSlaughterhouseWeb.com for more info and tour dates.
