Young and innocent 20-year-old Sienna Edwards didn't expect her life to be cut fatally short this past Thursday, (3/29) just because she was delivering presents to her boyfriend's cousin's 3-year-old daughter. Her boyfriend's cousin asked Sienna to do him the favor and deliver the presents to his daughter, claiming that he wasn't allowed to make the delivery because his daughter's mother had an order of protection set against him.
So, out of the goodness of her heart, Ms. Edwards agreed and carried the gifts up to the 179th street apartment. Upon reaching the apartment, the young girl's mother, 23-year-old Kenya Edmonds, flipped out on Sienna Edwards, and immediately began to threaten her life and to attack her. Whether Ms. Edmonds was using a weapon of some kind to attack Sienna is unclear.
Sienna made an outbound 911 call around 9:30 p.m., but apparently all the dispatcher could hear was someone screaming repeatedly, "You're not leaving here alive tonight!" in the background.
Feeling as though she was out of options, Sienna Edwards tried to flee Kenya Edmonds' hot pursuit by attempting to jump from one balcony to another...unfortunately, this gutsy attempt to preserve her own life resulted in her free-falling to her death.
Kenya Edmonds has since been arrested and charged with murder and manslaughter.
