Jennifer Hudson Attends Trial Of Her Mother's Alleged Murderer William Balfour

Jennifer Hudson was back in a Chicago courtroom Thursday as a family friend recalled hearing a torrent of violent threats from the man accused of killing her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew.
Robbin Myers told jurors that accused murderer William Balfour threatened Hudson’s sister and relatives at least 10 times during a party two months before the Oct. 2008 slayings, the Chicago Sun Times reported.
Myers also recalled seeing the handle of a gun sticking out of Balfour’s waistband during the August 2008 rant, the Sun Times said.
Balfour was married to the sister, Julia Hudson, at the time. They are now divorced.
“If I find that she cheating on me, I’m f------ her and him up,” Balfour allegedly said, according to Myers. “I’m gonna kill all those motherf------.”
Myers then told jurors he saw Balfour with a gun a second time a month later.
Balfour, who has pleaded not guilty to the triple homicide, was outside Julia Hudson’s bus company, pacing and looking upset, Myers said, according to the Sun Times.
Myers said Balfour sped off after seeing him.
“I guess I stopped him from what he was fixing to do,” Myers told the jury.
Jennifer Hudson and her sister have attended the trial since it started Monday, though they stepped outside Tuesday and Wednesday when prosecutors displayed blood-soaked crime scene and autopsy photos.
They whispered to each other Thursday as one of Balfour's mistresses testified about his alleged odd behavior before and after the alleged shootings, the Chicago Tribune said.
Diane Grant testified that Balfour stayed with her the night before Hudson's beloved mom, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, and Jason Hudson, 29, were mowed down with bullets in their South Side Chicago house.
Grant said Balfour usually wanted to have sex but didn't that night, and she told jurors she had trouble reaching him on his cell phone the day of the alleged murders.
